Vermont Tech Jam: A Catalyst for Innovation and Growth in Vermont’s Tech Ecosystem
As the Vermont Technology Alliance (VTTA), we view the Vermont Tech Jam as a cornerstone event that embodies our mission to foster a thriving innovation economy in the Green Mountain State. Held annually on October 25 at Hula in Burlington and organized by Seven Days, this career and tech expo brings together over 50 innovative companies, startups, and organizations to showcase cutting-edge technologies, job opportunities, and entrepreneurial spirit. Tech Jam highlighted AI’s transformative potential through expert panels, while offering instant headshots, networking lounges, and direct interactions with employers—aligning perfectly with our goals of connecting talent, advocating for supportive policies, and promoting tech careers.
From our perspective, Tech Jam is more than a job fair; it’s a vital platform for VTTA members to network, recruit skilled professionals, and demonstrate Vermont’s strengths in software, hardware, biotech, medtech, and beyond. We actively encourage participation through initiatives like our relaunched Vermont Technology Alliance, which strengthens cross-industry collaborations. Events like this help address talent shortages by spotlighting Vermont’s unique blend of quality of life and tech innovation, drawing in remote workers and local talent alike. Overall, Tech Jam reinforces VTTA’s commitment to building a resilient, inclusive tech community that drives economic growth and positions Vermont as a national leader in emerging technologies. Planning for Vermont Tech Week Across the State
We’re starting to plan of Vermont Tech Week, VTTA will coordinate this annual statewide innovation celebration from October 15–25. We will prioritize broad participation to extend events beyond Burlington, connecting rural and urban communities. Tech and tech-enabled companies are invited to host open houses, panels, product showcases, tours, or other activities spotlighting local talent. Submit ideas, volunteer roles, or sponsorships via our form to help curate a diverse lineup that boosts employers statewide. Details for 2026 are upcoming. This strategy builds on events like Tech Jam, establishing Vermont as a hub for inclusive, community-led tech advancement.
