Data Innovations is looking for a Software Engineer
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Review, modify, develop, and implement software applications, some very complex in nature
  • Develop/enhance existing programs by identifying and analyzing areas for modification
  • Monitor and correct software defects
  • Develop code consistent with product needs and quality standards
  • Design, code and debug applications in various software languages
  • Active participant in software release cycle
  • Assist in troubleshooting and correcting software defects
  • Assist with customer/client issues or requests
  • Ensure internal documentation is complete, accurate and up-to-date, including documenting code consistently throughout the development process
  • Continually update technical knowledge and skills
  • Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed
  • Participate in testing process through writing, running, and reviewing of both automated and manual test plans.
  • Identify ways to improve quality and efficiencies in the department
  • Work as an active and collaborative member of an agile project team

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven experience in all or a combination of the following: C/C++, Java, C#.NET, Windows, Visual Basic, Intersystem Cache, Delphi, PostgreSQL, AngularJS, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, RESTful services, Node.js
  • Proven ability to successfully write code and test software applications
  • Ability to keep current in constantly evolving technical advances
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Project planning/execution skills including estimating, scheduling, and executing on committed schedules
  • Ability to follow DI’s policies and procedures and system usage practices
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment including participation in a team using one of the more commonly used process frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, or Lean)
  • Engineers must be available in a scheduled rotation for after-hours support of escalations of Instrument Manager and/or other DI products for critical issues with customers.
  • Must comply with and pass initial background check and drug screening, as well as subsequent background checks, drug screenings and vaccine requirements as required by customer contracts

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in pre-sales walkthroughs at client sites, assessing workflow and developing custom demonstrations and recommendations to address current and prospective client requirements.
  • Actively participate in development of new messaging, “scripting”, and talking points for product demos, presentations, value propositions, etc.
  • Collaborate across departments using your technical knowledge to influence product lifestyle, drive sales, and ensure consistent and timely delivery of project estimates and documents post-sale.
  • Maintain the demo database, including yearly updates and
  • Assists in the completion of Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal by providing detailed product feature/function information.
  • Drive Sales support activities including demonstrations, technical calls, on-site meetings and

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Polished, confident communication and presentation Able to communicate highly technical concepts and translate into simple business value
  • Possess and maintain expert level medical laboratory experience to include:
    • the uses and functionality of Data Innovations’ products
    • in-depth knowledge of IVD analyzers
    • LIS and EMR application requirements
    • technical specifications related to middleware interfaces
    • the laboratory industry in North America (with potential expansion to worldwide region)
    • The roles of the laboratory information system(s), analytical and automation instrumentation and how they interoperate
  • Working knowledge of Server, PC and network hardware
  • Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to create solutions to problems identified while consulting with customers
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Satisfy travel requirements (Minimum 50% of travel required)

  Data Innovations is Looking for a Product Owner. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Be the “Voice of Customer” for internal stakeholders
  • Work with the relevant Product Team Members(s) to define and prioritize product deliverables for our customers
  • Interpret customer requirements (workflows and requests) and translates them into user stories with acceptance criteria that can be understood by Engineering to build and test the product by articulating the "What and Why" of the requests.
  • Work closely with development teams to define the scope of work, clarify customer requirements for the team, establish acceptable time frames for completion, and assist in managing the development process through to product completion (e.g., epics, customer enhancements, known issues, usability, cyber security)
  • Participate in the Risk analysis of User Stories review and act as a subject matter expert to help clarify any requirements for the review process
  • Drive the backlog prioritization and refinement process that defines feature commitments for upcoming sprints, considering the multi-faceted needs of the business
  • Work with customers on validation and acceptance of product delivery before the final release
  • Participate in the release and sprint planning, including a review of the previous sprint, an overview of an upcoming sprint, a review of new customer requirements, enhancements, and any other planned items

  • Install and use Data Innovations’ applications to develop product expertise while deep diving into complicated workflows and goals, ensuring content is accessible and appropriate for targeted user groups
  • Collaborate daily and flexibly with remote, global, cross-functional teams while also working independently to meet deadlines in an agile lifecycle
  • Design, structure, write, edit, and maintain complex technical content in multiple, accessible formats using industry and corporate-specific standards
  • Create and iterate on graphical, video, and other multimedia solutions that enhance the user experience
  • Work closely with international subject matter experts and the regulatory team to produce technically accurate content within regulatory guidelines
