X-Ray CT Scanning and Analysis Technology for Designers and Manufacturers
March 28 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) is hosting an event at Generator to introduce X-Ray CT Scanning and analysis technology to designers and manufacturers. The technology is available to industry through the Vermont Manufacturing Collaborative (VT-MC) and Advanced Manufacturing Center.
Come and learn about the Nikon 225 kV CT Scanner and VolumeGraphics analysis software. Experience how it can help you with product design, quality assurance, design qualification, root cause analysis and more. The CT technology coupled with VolumeGraphics software can provide non-destructive 3D imaging and analysis on material properties such as porosity, wall thickness, particle distribution and tolerances. It can also look inside parts to inspect weld joints, identify cracks, voids or foreign material. It can even calculate measurements and perform reverse engineering by creating CAD files.
1:30 – 2:00 pm – Registration, light refreshments and informal networking
2:00 – 4:00 pm – Welcome, Introductions, Presentation, Q&A, Adjourn
4:00 – 5:00 pm – Network and Generator Makerspace tour (optional)
Who should attend this event? Business owners, managers, CTO’s, design engineers, quality engineers and employees from any industry that wish to understand the benefits of seeing the inside of your products.
