Transitioning from Employee to Founder: Starting a Business as Your Second Act

September 21, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Vermont Technology Alliance is partnering with York IE for an online presentation on learning how to start your business as a second career act.

45 years old. That’s the average age of a startup founder.

Instead of the young, college dropout that many may picture, entrepreneurs are more likely to be seasoned workers who start businesses after a successful career working for others.

These founders are equipped with the business acumen needed for success, who can apply their institutional knowledge to their new ventures.

Join York IE and Stage2Startups on Sept. 21 to hear directly from founders who have started a business as their second act. During the conversation, Adam Greene, CEO and founder of Klaatch, and Emelie Smith Calbick, co-founder of Stage2Startups, will share how they transitioned from operator to entrepreneur, their tips for success and pitfalls to avoid. Adam Coughlin, CMO and co-founder of York IE, will also share his insights on advising startups across industries.

Are you ready to make the leap to entrepreneurship? Or looking for inspiration? Then this webinar is for you.
