Open House Event at the University of Sherbrooke Innovation Zone

The University of Sherbrooke, just north of the Vermont boarder in Quebec, Canada welcomes Vermont businesses to see and learn about working with their advanced technology facilities and resources at an open House on Thursday, May 11. Come and talk with research teams, explore the immense potential of Sherbrooke’s technological infrastructure, and develop business links.

In a single day, visit and this cutting-edge technological environment, which has been designated an “innovation zone” by the Quebec government, and how the Université de Sherbrooke (UdeS) can help you meet your business challenges:

Participants will have a chance to see three tech facilities:

Institut quantique (IQ)
A research institute that focuses on quantum science and technologies, bringing together experts in quantum materials, quantum information, and quantum engineering to conduct fundamental research and develop the quantum technologies of the future.

MiQro Innovation Collaboration Center (C2MI)
C2MI focuses on the development and commercialization of components essential to digital technologies: microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturing, advanced semiconductor assembly, compound semiconductors and electronic systems, and printable electronics.

Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovation (3IT)
At 3IT, world-renowned researchers, university and graduate students, technicians and interdisciplinary support staff combine their expertise to create high-impact technological solutions in the areas of Solar Energy, Mechanics, Microtechnologies, Nanotechnolgies and Robotics.

10:00 am: Welcome at Espace quantique 1

12 p.m.: Lunch at the DistriQ offices, Sherbrooke’s innovation zone

• Networking sessions

1:45 p.m.: Visit the UdeS Quantum Institute (IQ)

3:00 p.m.: Visit the UdeS Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovation (3IT)

• Presentation of the MiQro Innovation Collaboration Center (C2MI)

Participation in the cocktail reception ” 15 years of partnership innovation at 3IT “ (from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
