The Recruiting and Onboarding Coordinator at the University of Vermont will support the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence Leader in various recruitment and new employee onboarding activities, including but not limited to, source and screen candidates for open HR positions, collaborate with campus-wide hiring teams to develop and effectively utilize interview plans and scoring rubrics . Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring teams for HR positions. Provide guidance and proactive strategies to departments across UVM campus to assist in recruiting efforts. Assist the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence Leader to improve UVM Career’s page and plan recruitment events such as on campus and off campus job fairs, open houses, etc., and represent UVM at these events. Initiate and draft offer letters for selected candidates, enter new hire information into the HRIS (Human Resources Information System),. Answer and advise on common and/or basic human resources related questions and route more complex inquiries to the appropriate contact.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.·

– 2-3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR administration, or related role preferred.

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.

– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

– Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
