The Science Department in the school of STEM at Vermont State University (previously Vermont Technical College) invites applications for Spring 2024 (January 22, 2024-May 17, 2024) in Rutland, VT.

The course to be taught is PHY 1041 Physics 1
This course is a thorough algebra-based study of the basic principles of physics. Topics include systems of measurement; dynamics, including motion, acceleration, forces producing motion, work, energy, and power; momentum and the conservation laws; statics, including concurrent and noncurrent forces; and fluids.

3 hours of Lecture and 3 hours of Lab per week

This course is offered through VTSU-Workforce, Community and Economic Development (WCED) at Stafford Technical Center in Rutland, VT.

Minimum Qualifications: 
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree. Teaching experience is required, preferably at the college level.

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
