IXIS is seeking an information security analyst to join our team that is developing cutting-edge, custom analytics and dashboarding solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership and all departments within the organization to establish, monitor and test security policies and practices for the entire organization.  This is a full-time, remote or on-site position at our office in Burlington, VT.

Our Technology Stack

JavaScript/Typescript (React, Node.js, Jest, Cypress), Python, Bootstrap, Docker, Serverless, Cloud-based infrastructure using Amazon Web Services, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, R

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to establish, document and maintain security policies for the organization
  • Facilitate external audits of security practices to include, but not limited to, (SOC I/II, Pen Tests, GDPR, CPRA)
  • Perform internal audits of policy compliance and manage mitigation efforts
  • Review data to identify, document and report any vulnerabilities in the system
  • Facilitate internal reviews of compliance and identified risks, as defined in the policies
  • Research and advocate for the latest security technologies and solutions that support the internal and external customer needs
  • Monitor industry sources for emerging cyber threats and collaborate with teams to establish risk profiles
  • Review and respond to client security questionnaires
  • Champion secure development practices and facilitate continuous improvement of the security posture of the company
  • Train the organization on business requirements and resulting security policies
  • Learn about and share: new ideas, methodologies, techniques, and technology through conferences, self study and industry updates

Required Education and Skills

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of professional experience establishing and monitoring security policies
  • Solid understanding of security standards, including NIST SP 800 guidelines
  • Understands cloud based architectures, networks and corresponding security needs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Core critical thinking skills, including good data intuition
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders

Additional Desired Skills

  • Coding aptitude with Python, Java, C# or similar language
  • Exposure to multiple cloud platforms/vendors
