The MDS-Rely IUCRC | Advancing Materials Reliability Through Data Science – Virtual
November 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
At UIDP, we recognize that sharing information about the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry–University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRCs) helps our community discover new collaboration and partnership opportunities across academia, industry, and government.
Join us for a dynamic webinar featuring the Center for Materials Data Science for Reliability and Degradation (MDS-Rely), an IUCRC led by Case Western Reserve University, the University of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie Mellon University. MDS-Rely unites faculty, students, government experts, and industry innovators to apply advanced data-science methods—such as machine learning and statistical modeling—to understand and predict how materials degrade and fail over time. This interdisciplinary collaboration is transforming how industries like energy, transportation, electronics, and defense design for greater reliability, durability, and cost-effectiveness in extreme environments.
Now preparing to expand to Phase II of NSF funding, MDS-Rely leaders will showcase key research highlights, collaboration successes, and opportunities to engage in its next phase of impactful, cross-sector research. Speakers will share research highlights, discuss how they foster close collaboration between researchers and member partners, and outline opportunities for engagement in the next phase of the project.
Don’t miss the chance to learn how your organization can partner with MDS-Rely!
