VT Health IT Company PCC Receives Award for its Work Serving Pediatricians
Physician’s Computer Company (PCC), a leading Electronic Health Records (EHR) vendor for independent pediatricians nationwide, announced that they have been designated as “Best in KLAS” in the 2022 KLAS: Software and Services Report in the Ambulatory Specialty segment for their work in creating software specifically catered to independent pediatricians in the U.S.
This award demonstrates the Vermont company’s fourth consecutive year being the #1 EHR for pediatricians. As a business of just over 100 employees, PCC’s designation of “Best in KLAS” singles out the company as a formidable contender among much larger competition in the national healthcare technology marketplace.
VTTA member PCC was founded in 1983 and for nearly forty years has been committed to serving its local community of northern Vermont. A certified benefit corporation, PCC invests in its employees, customers, and local community. PCC sponsors several programs and events for children and teens, including Outright Vermont and the Vermont Youth Orchestra, and is also dedicated to supporting local businesses and restaurants. The success of the Winooski-based company has continued to welcome talent and jobs to the state.
The KLAS Software and Services report is an annual undertaking of KLAS Research, an independent and objective research firm that enables healthcare professionals to compare and rank healthcare IT products and services. According to KLAS President Adam Gale: “… The Best in KLAS report and the awards it contains set the standard of excellence for software and services firms.”
Chip Hart, Director of Pediatric Solutions at PCC, reflects that PCC’s philosophy has always been patient-focused, which for pediatric care extends to parents and families. “Our first client back in the 80s told us, ‘Do the right thing for the patients and the money will take care of itself.’ We took that to heart and our mission has always been to help every pediatric practice improve. By focusing on what our clients need, we’ve been able to maintain our independence while creating a relationship with our clients that is its own reward.”
