Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

 

Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

  • Process weekly check run and electronic payments
  • Process expense reports in Concur SAP
  • Preparation and submission of 1099s
  • Monthly reconciliation of company credit cards
  • Process accounts payable invoices as needed including reviewing for accuracy, coding, and entering into the database and allocating expenses by department

 

General Accounting 

  • Preparation of bi-weekly payroll and associated posting and reports
  • Monitor and track monthly expenses to departmental budgets
  • Prepare period-end financial reports and monthly closing and ensure accuracy (inclusive of accruals, prepaids, allocations, etc.)
  • Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedules and postings
  • Maintain month-end schedules and general ledger postings
  • Assist in budget process
  • Assist in year-end review by outside accounting firm
  • Prepare government surveys

Required Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business accounting practices
  • Highly proficient and technical aptitude for the use of automated accounting systems
  • Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
