C2 is seeking a senior information technology professional to lead the Software Development Practice.  The Practice Manager will be responsible for managing operational control of the practice P&L including management, leadership, and growth of a team of direct reports.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and grow a team of technologists who deliver technical software development projects while maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.  The successful candidate will also strategically align the Practice solutions with the mission and vision of C2 and set department-wide technical direction and strategy.  The Practice Manager will interact and cultivate relationships with the other technical teams and business units and drive consistent communication across all stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Responsible for maintaining operation control of the Practice P&L and developing and managing yearly practice budget
  • Responsible for setting department-wide technical direction and strategy
  • Responsible for managing a team of 6 or more direct reports including recruiting, hiring, and training
  • Strategically align the Practice solutions to the overall mission and vision of C2
  • Partner with executive management team to assess and improve current business processes
  • Weekly financial forecasting of all resources servicing clients
  • Responsible for team solution development and individual’s development plans
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing on business development initiatives
  • Analyze and understand deeply technical projects
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, effective change, and world class delivery
  • Collaborate with client sponsors and stakeholders to define scope and deliverables
  • Assemble team resources, produce project plans, identify risks, and contingency plans
  • Accurate and timely IT delivery planning, metrics reporting, including scrum metrics, and related financial tracking

  • Bachelor’s degree with technology emphasis (e.g. CS, MIS, IT) or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years working in software development
  • Experience in software development management
  • Experience in setting department-wide technical direction & strategy
  • Experience in delivering software projects/implementations
  • Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of multi-channel distribution of eCommerce business models
  • Experience or exposure to:
    • eCommerce Implementations
    • Content Management System Implementations
    • Cloud Migration
    • Business Process Automation development
    • SaaS Development Models
    • PCI and OWASP security practices
    • UI/UX design
  • Experience with MS technologies (& MS Office Suite)
  • Strong leadership project management skills, including:
    • Project planning
    • Issue and scope management
    • Resource motivation and management
  • Skilled in building cohesive and effective teams based on project needs
  • The following are desirable:
    • Professional services/consulting experience
    • Certified Scrum Master and/or experience as a Scrum Master
    • Proficient in Azure DevOps and Atlassian Jira
