The Senior Learning Performance Consultant at Dealer.com is responsible for analyzing, selecting, implementing, and delivering learning and development solutions for business performance gaps based on business needs.  This means understanding client business strategies and capability needs and turning that analysis into actionable, innovative solutions aligned to client strategy. The Senior Learning Performance Consultant collaborates with the Learning Operations and Design team, clients, and subject matter experts to analyze and identify capability gaps, identify, and curate appropriate content, and develop, build, implement, and execute talent development programs to enable professional and leadership capability growth and development using virtual, blended, or instructor-led methods allowing the learners to achieve defined business goals.

The Senior Learning Performance Consultant must be a self-starter, highly organized, enthusiastic, passionate about learning, advocate for the learner, and build and deliver learning experiences agilely.  In addition to facilitating individual and group learning experiences, he/she/they will expertly steward rotational, gig, and other experiences to help learners unleash their potential in alignment with their career goals at Cox Automotive.

This position reports to the Director, Global Learning Consultation & Delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads training initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Conducts needs analysis employing a holistic view/approach to training solutions by analyzing, selecting, and implementing training & development solutions for business performance gaps based on business needs.
  • Oversees and manages large and complex projects, segments, markets, or initiatives.
  • Partners with internal clients and stakeholders on the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timing to ensure project success.
  • Master at facilitating training, coaching, being strategic, shaping content, relationship building, and leading without authority.
  • Applies human performance improvement principles and consults with business unit management and Training & Development management to improve business performance.
  • Leads Training & Development initiatives involving multiple associates and matrix partners.
  • Manages project scope by ensuring any changes to content are documented and approved.
  • Tracks and reports on project milestones in cooperation with Learning Operations.
  • May develop instructional or reference content necessary to ensure timely and accurate implementation of performance solutions.
  • Co-owns documentation and maintenance of Client Profiles.
  • Coordinates and drives the plan for learning programs. Takes ownership of assigned projects, documents program plans and reports results promptly, and drives timely completion for every milestone.
  • Manages the marketing and communications for assigned programs. Communicating regularly with program stakeholders, Global Learning Leadership, and others as required.
  • Ensures the proper documentation for all programs.
  • Identify and partner with various thought leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to collect, deliver and validate content.
  • May select, manage, develop, and evaluate vendors or consultants to ensure the efficient operation of the function, as needed.
  • Demonstrated agility when responding to client needs in a fast-paced, constantly changing, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to develop and incorporate an understanding of technology tools into the curriculum to demonstrate the alignment between people skills, processes, and tools.
  • Grow and maintain positive training relationships with internal CAI departments, external clients, and strategic partners.
  • Provides expertise in leadership development, organizational design, team development, strategy development, and change.
  • Manages follow-up to determine applicability and tangible success of learning solutions.
  • Perform other duties, as needed, to support the organization’s learning culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in developing and delivering adult learning educational programs.  The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning principles, technology, and e-learning with the ability to apply that understanding in a relevant, engaging, real-world manner.
  • Proven experience building strong relationships that foster a trusting, inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus/alignment at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Proven expertise in facilitation, specifically in leading team development and culture evolution conversations.
  • Able to operate and thrive independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Client-driven, able to interact successfully with all levels of leaders, partners, and participants, internally and with clients.
  • Proven experience taking complex business concepts and converting them into creative, engaging, and relevant learning experiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook), setup and operation of relevant audio-visual equipment, and have an aptitude for learning and applying new technologies and instruction techniques.
  • Proficient in virtual learning delivery tools, including but not limited to virtual instructor-led training/virtual classroom, webinar, and video.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using software to complete projects and stay connected with key partners, such as OneDrive, SmartSheet, etc.
