Posting Summary            

As a member of a cross-functional digital communications team, works to enhance the effectiveness of university communication and marketing efforts and to implement changes that will improve those efforts for key audience segments and those authoring digital content for the institution. Produces templates and themes on a variety of digital content delivery platforms and performs custom coding of content in support of high-priority digital communication and marketing efforts. Works with content and marketing specialists to achieve maximum conversion rates and improve search optimization. Ensure quality of university digital content by monitoring and optimizing content accessibility and performance.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)        

Bachelor’s degree in technology related field specializing in web design and development, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience required. Five years’ experience in web and other digital content development. Demonstrated knowledge of template design including email, and other modern digital communication techniques. Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web content management systems. In-depth familiarity with responsive design and the use of media queries. Solid understanding of SEO techniques and how to apply them and measure their effectiveness. Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines. Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications              

Knowledge of website usability best practices and experience with usability testing. Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Experience manipulating digital images using Adobe Photoshop or other image processing tools.
