As an Account Executive at Competitive Computing, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the enterprise business market and introduce new products and services to our existing clients for up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. You will meet with decision makers to analyze client requirements by performing technology assessments of their existing applications, network infrastructure, and support systems. Additionally, you will identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to increase business efficiencies and productivity while reducing costs to monitor, manage, secure and improve the network systems of our prospective clients. The sales process will be based on value as you use a consultative, customer-focused sales approach that is unique to our industry and sets up apart from our competitors.  You will be expected to meet or exceed the projected dollar volumes in terms of revenues and profitability, as well as meeting the sales activity requirements.


  • 5 to 10 years prior IT sales experience is preferred including prospecting for new business
  • Build C-level relationships with clients and prospects
  • Proven success consistently achieving and/or exceeding monthly sales revenue
  • Strong working knowledge of the sales process and a heavy emphasis on client satisfaction (candidates who are responsive and empathetic to client needs)
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable goals
  • Outstanding people skills with strong written and oral communication skills
  • High level of initiative, creative thinking, decision making, and problem resolution skills
  • Strong telephone and face-to-face presentation skills; ability to listen well and the ability to create sales opportunities
  • Commitment to achieve vendor specific sales certifications with our key business partners
  • Grow key relationships with vendor partners – both technical and sales. This includes a thorough understanding of the partner program benefits including:
  • Funding programs and technical support (implementation and operational)
  • Pricing, discounting programs and procedures
  • Content access – presentations, enablement/training, sample deliverables
  • Experiences with business impacts of digital, workforce, security, and IT transformation
  • Attend networking events before, during, and after normal business hours
  • Perform immediate action on leads generated by staff and management
  • Conduct corporate presentations
  • Prepare sales proposals
  • Present and close sales agreements and contracts
  • Facilitate and lead project kick-off meeting with delivery team
  • Ensure a smooth transition from sales to the service delivery team
  • Ability to drive and create demand generation via marketing programs
  • Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota
  • Execute a high level of integrity and trust with both internal and external customers

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • Proven history in customer service satisfaction and sales achievements
  • Excellent prospecting, negotiating, presentation, and closing skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a sales territory and build relationships with new and existing clientele
  • Existing product knowledge and the desire to learn about new solutions
  • Familiarity with digital solutions for key manufacturers including:
  • Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Collaboration, Management
  • VMware: vRealize, SDDC, SDN, Cloud Services
  • Dell and Dell Technologies: HCI, SDDC, A/O, API’s, APM
  • Citrix Cloud Workspaces, XenDesktop, Netscaler, Mobile
  • Splunk Siem, AIOps, APM, Log Management
  • Cisco networking, Security, Collaboration
