Data Innovations is looking for a Salesforce Business Analyst.

This role will be integral to implement product vision & product development with a clear focus on the business needs. This includes a strong emphasis on collaborating with various business and technical teams to translate business requirements into Salesforce features, functionality, and processes. Daily responsibilities will also include technical hands-on administrative work in the Salesforce environment. This may include creating and customizing Salesforce objects, workflows, page layouts, fields, validation rules, reports, dashboards, user profiles, AppExchange packages and more.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with members of the commercial business team to define and document enhancement requests and development requirements, ensuring they align with the strategic goals of the business.
  • Contribute to evaluating, scoping, and completing new development requests.
  • Serves as the liaison between the commercial business team and the software development team through which requirements flow. Identifies potential technical problems before they occur and helps implement solutions by thoroughly validating all system changes relative to assigned work. Works with the business technology team as an advocate of the commercial business team.
  • Ensure data governance and integrity of Salesforce data and data storage.
  • Develop Salesforce system documentation and policies/procedures to share with business team(s).
  • Assist in the implementation of security practices by monitoring login and user activity, auditing fields, profile access, security permissions and de-activating unneeded user accounts.
  • Aid in maintaining the Salesforce platform by staying updated on new features and releases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working cross functionally in a professional work environment with cross functional team leadership and collaboration on business problems was required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in creating custom reports and dashboards.
  • Experience collecting and documenting user stories, use cases business requirements and acceptance criteria across multiple process areas and disciplines including business process, controls, system requirements, data conversion, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ability to estimate and prioritize work, commit, and deliver on deadlines and be vocal when risks arise.
  • Must comply with and pass initial background check and drug screening, as well as subsequent background checks, drug screenings and vaccine requirements as required by customer contracts.
  • Must comply with company vaccination policy.
  • Ability to follow DI’s policies and procedures.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience with Salesforce.
  • At least 3 years of experience with complementary tools and/or add-ins: Data Loader, CPQ+, Pardot, Litmos LMS.
  • At least 3 years of experience with NetSuite ERP and/or other ERP integration experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is predominately functioning in a sedentary light office position with high frequency of telephone communication, keyboarding, and computer. Minimal travel may be necessary for internal business meetings.

 

Preferred skills and experience:

In addition to the above requirements, the ideal employee/candidate will have experience with the following:

  • Experience with Smartsheet preferred.
  • Experience with Polarion preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA preferred.
  • Experience with Professional Software Automation (PSA) software integration preferred.

 

Supervision Level

This person reports directly to the Director of Commercial Operations.
