The Opportunity

Central Engineering ASIC Design Services in Marvell designs and develops chips for external customers in market segments ranging from artificial intelligence and machine learning to wired and wireless infrastructure. Marvell provides end-to-end capabilities using the industry leading Design Automation software and flows to tape out designs to the world’s top fabs in 5nm and smaller geometries. The ASIC Design Lead partners with customers and internal design teams to create optimized designs tailored to customers’ needs.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Lead embedded firmware development team by providing direction, oversight, and guidance
•    Be responsible for architecture, design, development, and verification of firmware features
•    Deliver architectural documents, design specs, firmware source code, and build scripts
•    Perform tasks including debug, bring up, beta, and production firmware development and release for internal and external customers.
•    Plan, schedule, estimate efforts for projects and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
•    Act as a domain expert and work with stakeholders throughout Marvell to meet customer’s requirement.
•    Work with sales, field application engineer, and cross functional hardware/software engineers to understand and solve customer issues


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5-10 years of related professional experience. Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience.

•    Strong knowledge on microcontrollers, experience with RISC-V and ARM preferred
•    Experience in embedded firmware design, development and debugging
•    Experience with chip design simulation and verification is a plus
•    Detail oriented and self-motivated team worker with good verbal and written communication skills.
