Your Team, Your Impact

The Custom Compute and Storage (CCS) team is seeking a Principal Design Verification Engineer. Projects within CCS range from artificial intelligence and machine learning, to wired and wireless infrastructure, with the latest technology nodes. The team utilizes the latest EDA software tools, and work through the technical challenges to insure we meet the performance, power, and area requirements of the design.

 

What You Can Expect

In this role you will:

  • Provide leadership for a geographically dispersed team of verification professionals in pre-silicon validation of a highly complex SoC design.
  • Contribute to the development and future direction of SoC verification methodologies and environments.
  • Analyze designs and architectures to develop test strategies that will ensure functional correctness.
  • Develop and direct development of tests to achieve coverage goals.
  • Debug failures and work with designers and other verification engineers to resolve issues.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience.Or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.

 

Core Skills:

  • Strong programming skills including object-oriented design and implementation.
  • High proficiency with System Verilog (UVM preferred)
  • Experience with analyzing complex systems and writing detailed test plans.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl and EDA Verification tools.
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of networking protocols
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and assembly code level debugging

 

Other Skills:

  • Diligent, detail-oriented, and willing to take the initiative
  • Able handle assignments with minimal supervision
  • Willing to accept and work with differing opinions
  • Able to learn on the fly and work in a fast-paced environment
