The University of Vermont
Independently maintain and process employee personnel data within the PeopleSoft system at the University of Vermont to ensure proper timekeeping and to ensure that processing standards, deadlines and compliance standards are met for timely and accurate payroll. Payroll-specific records maintenance (changes in wage/salary rates, deductions, new hires, terminations, leaves of absences, etc.) Customer Service interactions with campus community related to the PeopleSoft HCM system. Work collaboratively as part of the larger payroll and tax services team.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field, or Associate Degree in accounting and 1-3 years’ experience in accounting and payroll. Basic knowledge with database and spreadsheet applications required.
Desirable Qualifications
Effective analytical, communication and organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment desirable.
Other Information
External candidates must complete a 6 month probationary period.
