The Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technology Department at Vermont Technical College invites applications for Fall 2022 (August 22, 2022 – December 17, 2022)

The course to be taught is MEC 1010 Introduction to Mechanical and Engineering Technology 

This course introduces the student to the organization, analysis, and presentation of data related to mechanical engineering technology and gives an overview of careers in the field. The primary focus is on software applications designed for organizing and formatting information; performing numerical and graphical analysis; and technical presentation, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The student explores various topics (materials properties, energy, strength, and forces) through exercises where information and numerical data are acquired, organized, analyzed, and presented.

2 hours of studio per week

The MEC Department Search Committee is seeking available candidates for 2 sections of this course.

Candidates may and are encouraged to apply to multiple Part Time opportunities but may not be considered for more than 9 credit hours per semester, per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement..

Minimum Qualifications: 
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree. Teaching experience is preferred.
