Mamava Manufacturing, located in Springfield, VT, produces the companies’ product line of Lactation Pods which are packaged for assembly at the customer’s location.  Industries served include Military + Government, Healthcare, Education, Office Spaces, Public Venues, Manufacturing and Distribution facilities.


The Logistics Manager is in charge of Mamava’s distribution, movement and storage of its supplies. Areas of responsibility include freight (domestic and international), warehousing (internal and 3PL), inventory management, material handling, and inventory control.

This position reports to the Plant Manager and is based in our Springfield, VT manufacturing facility.


  • Manage receiving, warehousing, distribution and shipping of raw material and finished goods.

  • Manage relationships with domestic and international logistics companies.

  • Implement programs and system improvements to improve efficiency, drive down overall logistics costs and improve customer service.

  • Develop and implement long term plans to optimize warehousing and logistic solutions by coordinating efforts with key functional stakeholders such as service, operations / supply chain, customer service and finance

  • Track and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement process improvement.

  • Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.

  • Manage carrier performance and oversee freight payment and claims process.

  • Ensure compliance and adherence to country specific regulations and standard operating procedures for importing/exporting. This includes generating shipping documentation.

  • Manage warehouse inventory and maintain records.

  • Monitor and manage budgets.

  • Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, operations or similar field

  • 4+ years’ experience in the logistics field

  • Knowledge of domestic transportation lanes

  • Experience with working with 3rd party providers including freight forwarders, carriers, brokers and customs (import/export)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Docs), MRP/ERP

  • Experience working with electronic data

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of the manufacturing industry

  • Effective problem solving and creative thinking skills

  • Good time management skills
