Mamava is a women-owned, certified B Corporation that is headquartered in Burlington, VT with a manufacturing location in Springfield, VT. Empathetic to today’s culture of breastfeeding, we help women meet their breastfeeding goals by providing places to pump or breastfeed, a mobile app, and a network of community support, and valuable content.

Mamava Manufacturing produces the company’s product line of Lactation Pods which are packaged for assembly at the customer’s location.  Industries served include Military + Government, Healthcare, Education, Office Spaces, Public Venues, Manufacturing and Distribution facilities.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator coordinates with Mamava’s order processing group, plant operations and outside contractors in all aspects involving transportation, delivery, and/or storage of completed pods. This person is responsible for the accuracy of order input, dissemination of detail for production, feedback to customer support, and record keeping.

The role is based in our Springfield, VT facility.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the order processing team regarding intracompany order requests

  • Coordinate with plant production order requirements

  • Request quotations, select carriers, prepare shipping documents

  • Upkeep of historical records database by serial number

  • Cost recordkeeping for transportation and service order fulfillment

  • Work with shipping carrier representatives to determine and negotiate rates

  • Support to sales teams regarding shipping quotes (multiple pods / international shipments)

  • Work with accounts payable to ensure shipments are received, processed and paid

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant field and or demonstrated prior work experience with similar responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace Applications (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Sheets) as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software, MRP or ERP a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to gain product knowledge

  • Self-motivated, inquisitive and proactive with ability to work with team members with varying backgrounds and responsibilities

  • Highly organized and process driven
