The Item Catalog Data Specialist plays a critical role in the ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive catalog of packages and brands that VIP has created for the Beverage Industry.  This entry-level position is responsible for monitoring a group of assigned accounts (beverage suppliers & distributors), and assist them in adding content to the Item Catalog that meets a set of data quality rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and ensure data quality and accuracy on an ongoing basis
• Populate and maintain individual items, brands, and their attributes within the item catalog based on a set of established business rules
• Monitor incoming data requests and assist customers in uploading and downloading data from the catalog
• Assist in documenting data creation and maintenance procedures

Job Requirements:

• High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize work
• Speed and proficiency on a standard keyboard
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and others inside the company to solve problems
• Ability to work independently
• Exposure to Excel and related business applications
• Ability to learn and become proficient with unfamiliar systems
• College preferred but not required
