Reporting to the Manager-Implementation, the Project Lead is the primary person responsible for the implementation and quality of a job as well as for coordinating with multiple internal and external resources to ensure project success.


The Project Lead builds and configures new client accounts and site upgrades according to the requirements defined in the signed sales contract, as well as applicable addenda and statements of work. In most cases, the Project Lead is the primary contact with the client, guiding them through the production process.


The Project Lead will be crossed-trained to perform all variations of account set-ups and upgrades, though based on job volume and department capacity, an area of specialty may be determined. A Project Lead is expected to manage multiple account set ups, with varying requirements, for different clients concurrently. Once the account is fully configured and/or launched, the Project Lead conducts a post-production handoff to appropriate DDC team(s) (Digital Advisor, Support, Billing, etc.).



  • Gather and document project requirements
    • Review contract and/or order to pro-actively uncover potential issues and roadblocks
    • Reach out to client to set expectations and collect pre-production information
    • Work with Sales and Billing to ensure contract accuracy and address any solution gaps
  • Configuration of accounts may include (but are not limited to):
    • Account Setup
      • Contact client and develop relationship as primary liaison (and/or coordinate with Sales Director or Digital Advisor depending on type of site, OEM/partner program)
      • Present key elements of website design and functionality to the client
      • Apprise client on project status at all phases of production
      • Follow procedures for ensuring compliance guidelines (where applicable) and quality are met
    • Website Configuration
      • Set up website and associated features
      • Coordinate set up for associated inventory data feeds
    • Set up ancillary services (these may be part of or independent from an entire account set up)
      • Facilitate domain transfer and/or registration
      • Coordinate set up for inventory data imports/exports
      • Identify email requirements and configure email accounts in DDC systems
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project completion and address client needs – Production Developers, Visual Design Group, Inventory Support, SEO, SEM, Domain Management, Site Development, Development, etc.
      • Assist in resolution of problems arising during production process
      • Oversee timely completion of delegated tasks necessary to meet contractual deadlines
    • Be familiar with the operational structure of a dealership and advise on digital marketing best practices to drive leads and support branding objectives
    • Proactively develop and maintain knowledge and skills related to technology, tools & products (new releases, updates, etc.)
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned
