Responsible for research, proposal and implementation of new PD&T software program for staff positions. Oversee and coordinate the implementation, use, and modifications of Human Resource Information (HRIS) systems (PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin, eforms, and other ancillary systems) and integration of their workflow to increase operational efficiency and enhance customer service University-wide. This position utilizes a proactive, collaborate approach, technical expertise, tools, and systems scheduling to provide outstanding service to internal and external customers with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy. Analyze and assess workflow to identify and recommend solutions and efficiencies that are in alignment with industry best practices. Independently conduct and direct specialized and complex data collection, auditing, and analysis, including long-term planning to meet or advance campus wide objectives and goals. Make University of Vermont wide-assessments, recommend changes to applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines. Serve as project lead or team member on multi-disciplinary team(s) to plan and effect data management changes. Ensure reliability and integrity of data through internal controls and collaboration with campus business partners. Identify and establish benchmarks and monitor progress toward project achievement. Provide expertise, technical advice, guidance and training related to University-wide HR processes.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, management information system or related field and four to five years’ related experience requiring business process and systems implementation skills, or combination of education and experience required. Database administration skills and analytical proficiency with database and spreadsheet applications required. Proficiency in Excel, report development and delivery, and working with HR systems required. Experience with leading and managing HR-related projects and workflow analysis, which may include recruitment, onboarding, affirmative action and employment system solutions required. Effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to serve as effective team member on collaborative projects. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality required. Success working with a range of culturally and ethnically diverse populations and evidence of commitment of fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
