We are seeking a strong Director of User Experience to lead our user experience team across the E Inc platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities and have the ability to manage teams across UX Design and Research while driving deliverables and timelines. As Director of User Experience, they are responsible for daily collaboration with creative, product and development teams, and it is crucial that they are a creative thinker and problem solver who is able to demonstrate clear vision and strategy.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead user experience team, drive deliverables and timelines while directly contributing to projects
  • Collaborate with the ux, product and development teams to craft effective user experiences
  • Oversee day to day user experience workflows
  • Oversee and provide feedback to user experience design and research teams on user experience deliverables
  • Review development launches and provide UX feedback on deployments
  • Act as a mentor and encourage constant improvement of UX processes and deliverables, keeping the team operating at the cutting edge of industry standards
  • Guide team members and partners in research planning, alignment, execution, analysis, and follow-up
  • Advance research strategy to drive continued maturity of the role of insights in product and business execution
  • Management of department workload using Jira
  • Manage and facilitate growth in the UX design team
  • Gather and interpret data from analytics, user insights, and secondary research to develop a clear problem space and turning that into actional design prompts

What You will Need:

  • 12 or more years of experience as a design professional with at least 8 years of people management or technical lead experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX/UI Design, Digital Media Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or other relevant design field
  • Experience in a technical product organization as a thought leader and teacher of your craft
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills leading projects and teams across all phases of the product design process from project definition, to user research, to strategy formulation, opportunity area identification, ideation, prototyping, testing, visual design, production, and delivery
  • Experience in automotive a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of product development
  • Ability to understand the human factors at play in strong user experience design
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent time management
  • Ability to communicate clearly, provide feedback and motivate a team
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and quick turn-arounds
  • Innovative nature and willingness to invent new ways technology can enable breakthrough user experiences

Nice to Haves:

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • Software engineering or related experience
