Who You Are

As Director of Partnership Sales, you are directly responsible for managing sales related researching, discovering, and contracting with organizations that will utilize the THINKMD clinical and data platform and the THINKMD API in the US and global health markets. Ultimately, you are responsible for all business development efforts related to Partner sales activity, Partners satisfaction, and sales goals for this specific vertical.  You will also work closely with all other functions of THINKMD to ensure seamless partner service and product quality. You report to the Director of Business Development and Strategy and will help develop our go-to-market approach within this vertical.  You are a highly motivated, energetic, and charismatic individual focused on new business opportunities obtained through prospecting new accounts and developing distribution partnerships via our API plug-in. 

This role will work closely with peers around the company, primarily:

  • The business development team to address common issues experienced across territories and support each other with best practices and experiences.

  • With executive leadership as needed for proposal creation and contract negotiations, attend regional/global trade shows, and drive lead generation.

  • You will collaborate with Marketing to address needs for lead generation and keep up-to-date on all materials available to the team, including white papers, case studies, sell sheets and web content.

  • Implementation consultants to smoothly transition Partners from the sales process to implementation as an organization goes from prospect to partner.

  • In collaboration with Marketing and Product Strategy build and deliver compelling presentations based on the prospects unique business needs and our platform.

The core success criteria of this position are:

  • Ability to understand all aspects of the partner experience and the role of THINKMD’s platform so that the sale directly provides the solution to their needs.

  • Ability to translate business and partner needs into engaging partner/customer presentations and proposals. 

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity to create solutions, and work with all levels of THINKMD’s team and partner/customers, to effectively close deals and ensure seamless implementation.

  • Ability to think and work as an entrepreneur, as well as have the desire to assist in establishing a solid business structure to ensure effective growth. 

  • Manage a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 6 to 12 months’ purchasing cycle.

  • Effectively and efficiently employ Company’s resources (sales, engineering, management, client success) at appropriate stages in the sales cycle.

  • The ideal candidate is first and foremost a professional salesperson who is used to operating at all levels in a company but is particularly adept at selling complex ‘solutions’ to senior executive management.

  • A self-starter that is motivated and inspired to action by the positive impact and blue-sky opportunity to exists with our innovative clinical solution.

Your Day to Day

  • Proactively manage all sales related customer activity, satisfaction and sales attainment goals for assigned geography/territory.  Such territory includes sales to new prospective customers in the US and globally with our unique clinical decision support tools and API’s.

  • Perform deep research on your prospects and to create impactful presentations, proposals, and sales strategy to close the opportunity.

  • Effectively and predictably close deals, work well with internal resources, and be competitive while striving for excellence.

  • Define marketing/sales campaigns to penetrate the US healthcare market and the API market.

  • Communicate effectively at all levels within an organization and must be familiar and comfortable with team solution selling processes.

  • Proactively learn new aspects of THINKMD’s product and industry, and work to exceed assigned target quota.

  • Coordinate sales activities, marketing materials, customer presentations, and sales contracts with appropriate departments within THINKMD such as Engineering, Implementation and Partner Success to ensure seamless transition and service to the partner/customer. 

  • Utilize the THINKMD CRM to track all sales activity and account information. 

  • Prepare large volume price proposals, negotiating prices between partner organizations to generate win-win relationships.  This will require unique pricing/revenue share models to meet the market needs.



What you Need to Have

  • A minimum of 7 year’s experience in healthcare IT, clinical toolsets, and partnerships sales.

  • Success in selling to health systems, integrated health organizations and/or partner and health service organizations i.e. insurance companies.  

  • Proven ability to work in an environment of rapid growth, with an expectation of close teamwork with all team members while meeting or exceeding sales targets is critical.

  • Proven ability to communicate to all levels of customers and team members both verbally and in writing is essential.  

  • You must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.

  • You will need to have demonstrated the ability to build strong and open working relationships characterized by mutual respect between superiors, peers, and subordinates within an organization.

  • You have a track record of success in communicating to executive and board of director levels.  Demonstrated experience in gaining the confidence of senior executive audiences or higher. 

  • Openly communicative of ideas with others and inviting and considering input from the business, your peers and their direct reports.  

  • Able to appropriately delegate key responsibilities and transfer some of your own duties and decisions as the direct/indirect reports’ number and skill sets grow.

  • Superior project management and prioritization skills ensuring the delivery of complex projects on-time, on-budget and on-scope.

  • Dynamic, engaging, self-reliant and entrepreneurial leader, accustomed to managing with a collaborative, fact-based approach, and articulate communication and interpersonal warmth.

  • Person who is motivated by your impact on the organization rather than personal career advancement.

  • You must be open to feedback, continuous learning and committed to ongoing self-improvement.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field is required.
