Systems and Software is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Director to build sales opportunities and reach our growth initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to find new ways to help us achieve our client acquisition and revenue goals.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US.

Specifics:

  • Maximize sales revenues and achieve BU goals
  • Assist in developing a clear, achievable forecast for bookings results
  • Create a comprehensive annual sales strategy
  • Consistently achieve sales goals/forecasted bookings quotas monthly, quarterly and annually utilizing existing CRM tools; maintains focus on product/service mix, standardized pricing and margins
  • Contribute to planning of marketing activities, sales efforts, promotions, advertising, conferences, and tradeshows.
  • Attend external customer meetings, and internal company functions
  • Establish and build relationships with partners and consultants
  • Generate leads through all relevant channels
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential (qualified) prospects
  • Work with the Sales team on RFP responses
  • Participate in net new sales demonstrations

What we are looking for:

  • Strong understanding of software, support and services contracts
  • Knowledge of CIS, GIS, FMS, and WAMS software is an asset
  • Comfortable presenting software in front of executives, supervisors, and end users
  • Minimum of 5 years software sales experience; customer facing in the Customer Information Systems Industry
  • Experience defining solutions with clear value propositions that provide tangible ROI to their business
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%

What would make you standout:

  • Preference given for municipal/local government or utility sales experience
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
