The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating with sales and marketing to finalize customer and global sales demand and create a manufacturing plan to fulfil customer demand. Much of this process will occur within the ERP system but will require extensive collaboration with members of the sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and senior management teams to adjust to evolving sales forecasts and resource and material constraints. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems and managing complex multi-level bills of materials with different resources and lead times.

This is a full-time position in the operations department and reports to the VP of Operations. This role will work in partnership with NRGs dynamic operations team to achieve goals of the department that are in line with the company strategic plan and will embrace the high standards of NRG ethics and core values.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales backlog and forecasts present demand plan forecasts to the commercial and operations teams. Develop a final demand plan and ensure the demand plan is loaded in the companys ERP system.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning and assist developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs or migrations.
  • Assist with implementation and upgrade efforts for ERP and other systems that support the resource and material planning function.
  • Subject matter expert of all modules of the ERP system to include sales order, work order, and purchase order generation, utilizing automated functions where possible, and generating tools and processes to validate the MRP plan against backlog and forecasted orders.
  • Perform inventory analysis of raw materials and finished goods; assess and update ordering volumes using least-unit-cost methods.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the VP of Operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing and supply chain planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others
  • Brings positive energy and can-do attitude with effective ability to prioritize and deliver on expectations.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Professional and dependable manner.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Advanced skills in MS Office (mainly MS Excel)
    • Advanced skills with ERP systems
  • Demonstrated behaviors that model exceptional performance in NRGs culture
  • Work performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
  • Primarily duties performed in a seated position.
