Posting Summary
Provide biostatistical data management for the clinical research programs in infectious diseases, vaccine studies, immunology and international field studies of the Vaccine Testing Center (VTC) in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. Develop efficient databases to collect clinical study data, including identifying and evaluating appropriate systems to support the VTC’s research; trouble-shooting set-up, access and maintenance issues; and training internal and external staff on database use. Assemble, and manipulate data from a wide range of sources using a suite of methods and software. Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions to ensure data quality. Prepare reports and contribute to manuscript and grant writing.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in statistical, analytic, or scientific field with three – five years related experience required. Familiarity with biostatistics and standard concepts, practices, and procedures within clinical research. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical software applications. Knowledge of database structures and programming languages required. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills required. Ability to work in a dynamic unit with competing and time-sensitive demands. Evidence of multi-cultural competency required.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree in statistical or analytic field desirable.
