The Bat Deterrent System Wind Turbine Integration Manager is a position responsible for managing the business development and project management of one of our flagship product lines, known as the Bat Deterrent System (BDS). NRG Systems’ unique ultrasonic BDS reduces bat mortality and increases wind turbine power output by reducing curtailment due to bat interaction with wind turbines. This is a technical position that will contribute to the business development efforts by managing individual customer projects that are deploying the BDS. Each wind farm installation is unique and therefore the project management of each deployment is critical.


The successful candidate will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including wind energy developers, wind turbine OEMs, and at times permitting / environmental authorities. This position requires a multi-tasking mindset, exceptional relationship building capabilities, and a technical aptitude.


This position will work in partnership with his or her cross-functional team to achieve the goals of the department plan that are in line with the company strategic plan, and will embrace the high standards of NRG ethics and core values. The position is globally oriented and international experience is preferred.


Primary Responsibilities:


Work closely with Territory Managers and the VP of Global Sales to help close sales of BDS Systems globally by providing and obtaining technical information to and from customer.


Manage and coordinate installations from pre-sales to post-installation to make sure that the product is properly installed and operating.


Work with NRG’s Technical Services team to coordinate training, installations and system monitoring.


Collaborate closely with Product Management to provide feedback on products.


Attend conferences, seminars and tradeshows to reach potential customers.


Some travel mainly in USA but occasionally globally to assist in efforts further product sales.


Work closely with the VP of Global Sales and the Territory Managers to plan and implement business initiatives, procedures, guidelines, and policies that promote and drive sales for the company.



– BS or BA degree or technical degree plus 5 years applicable technical project management or business development experience


Preferably 3-5 years direct experience in the wind energy industry with strong market knowledge


Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects


Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt depending on type of customer


Experience with wind project siting/environmental compliance and consulting a plus


Effectively represent products and services


Familiarity with the range of NRG’s products and services offered a plus


Demonstrated experience working effectively across multi-disciplines (engineering, sales, manufacturing) and at all levels of management


Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills


Technically competent


Ability to travel globally approximately 10-20% annually
