The Opportunity

ASIC Business Development and Marketing

Marvell’s ASIC business unit is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Marketing & Business Development team to drive new design wins at our focus accounts for Marvell’s game-changing cloud-optimized custom silicon business. This person will be responsible for working with Marvell’s sales team to build relationships with the decision makers at our top accounts, identify new opportunities, define the strategy to win them, and secure new design wins to grow our business.

In our dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Marketing Manager should be highly organized and a motivated problem-solver with great interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a range of internal functions and external vendors to define and execute strategies to maximize our presence at our top accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales to develop strategic account plans for our top accounts which articulate our strategy for maximizing our presence at those accounts
  • Identify new ASIC opportunities for Marvell. Collect the technical and business requirements for the opportunity, use customer and market data to size the opportunity, work with the internal team to formulate our response, develop winning pricing and positioning strategies, and gain executive approval for our response.
  • Work with sales and our legal department to negotiate pricing and other terms to ultimately close the contracts for the opportunity and secure the design win for Marvell.
  • Maintain awareness of the execution of existing programs to ensure customer satisfaction and position Marvell as the supplier of choice for the next generation of designs.
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process to define the roadmap for our offering, create TAM and SAM estimates for our target markets, and project future design wins and revenue at our focus accounts.
  • Support outbound marketing activities such as press releases, trade shows, webinars, etc. to promote the Marvell brand and our ASIC business.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. MBA preferred.
  • 10-15 years proven experience in marketing and business development, ideally in the ASIC business, IP, or semiconductors.
  • Knowledge of our target end markets such as data center, wired communications, 5G, or automotive a plus.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to formulate proposals and sell them to management and the customer
  • Strong demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in out-bound marketing activities such as press releases, trade shows, webinars, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment (virtual and in person)
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, able to quickly ramp, and handle multiple complex projects concurrently
