Smart Resource Labs (SRL) has developed a data management platform for energy efficiency, microgrids and renewable energy. We are looking to expand our technical team with a DevOps Engineer as we scale. This position will support SaaS products aimed at the Solar industry as well as the C&I Energy Performance Monitoring market for Continuous Energy Improvement and Advanced Manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a confident creative thinker with a “roll-up-the-sleeves”, detail oriented approach to getting things done.

Primary Responsibilities:

● Build and deploy backend services
● Write scripts to build and deploy to server side environments
● Communicate build status to the team
● Maintain source code branches
● Application performance monitoring
● Support evolution of system architecture
● Support application engineers with IT related talks

Desired Skills and Experience:

● Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
● Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Chef, Docker or an equivalent
● Knowledge of best practices for monitoring and diagnosing performance/availability issues
● Experience with Amazon Web Services preferred
● Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL
● A working understanding of high level scripting (Bash, Ruby and/or Python)
A Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, System Administration or equivalent
