The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Mamava will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients.

This is an hourly, part-time position (3 days/week) with competitive compensation and paid time off. This position reports to the Controller. It’s possible this could transition to full-time over time. This is a hybrid position based in Burlington, VT.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable (both upfront deposits and final invoices).

• Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.

• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.

• Calculates, tracks, collects, and remits sales tax as required by law in each state (and is responsible for collecting and confirming customer exemption status if applicable)

• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.

• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.

• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Controller.

• Collaborates with the Controller to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.

• Assists the Controller in reconciling revenue accounts each month.

• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.

• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred.

• At least two years of related experience required.

• Start up experience preferred.

• Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment.

• Experience with high growth manufacturing companies is preferred.

• General ledger and other accounting systems experience (i.e. Quickbooks)

• Knowledge of ERP/MRP software platform preferred (i.e. Fishbowl or similar)
