At Cox Automotive (Dealer.com), our engineers and technologists are literally changing the way people buy, sell and use cars. With operations across five continents and powerhouse brands like Autotrader and Kelly Blue Book in our family, we have the reach to make this transformation happen in new and exciting ways. From browsing to test driving, purchasing to servicing, the positive change we envision for the automotive industry is being driven by our software innovations. We’ve got some of the most robust data in the industry, so our big data insights can lead to some amazing creations.

And now, we’re working on creating a future that is autonomous, connected, electric and shared. And you, my friend, could make this a reality. All while working in an environment where we lift each other up and share a deep commitment both to our people and to our purpose of building a brighter future for the next generation.

The Engineering Operations team is an essential function within the Cox Automotive Product Group (CAPG). Our team focuses on building and maintaining a scalable, data-driven organization that constantly drives incremental improvement. We consider ourselves “the grease and the glue”. We are the “grease” when processes appear to be stuck or when there is no answer for how to solve a problem, and we are the “glue” when we see that leveraging people and/or capabilities together from disparate parts of the organization make the enterprise stronger.

We seek a team member to join our Engineering Operations team this summer in support of this mission. Specifically, we do A LOT with organizational data, from projects that are specifically designed to collect more or better data, to projects which integrate and combine that data, to projects that assemble that data into analytical capabilities. This internship would be contributing toward a project that supports this effort.

Add an integration from a new source of data into an existing operational or analytical tool Refine and enhance an existing reporting or analytical tool Document as-is, current-state business and data processes in preparation for continuous improvement work.
